BREAKING: Relativity Media has struck back in the ongoing competition of Snow White movies. Ryan Kavanaugh’s film shingle has pushed up its untitled Snow White project to March 16, 2012, from June 29. This comes days after Universal moved Snow White and the Huntsman up six months to June 1. I’m not sure that Uni can push forward any further. After all, you have to make the movie before you can release it. Relativity’s movie has Tarsem Singh directing Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer, while Universal has Rupert Sanders directing Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth. Will both of these pictures actually make it into production under such high stakes? It sure looks that way. The one saving grace is that Universal’s film has a darker Alice in Wonderland tone, while Relativity’s seems to be an unabashed family film.

Twilight Graphic Novel, Volume 2 has been given a release date and we also now have an image of the cover. Thanks to Twilight Lexicon who placed the two covers side-by-side for this amazing meadow scene!

The release date for volume 2 is set for October 11, 2011. From publisher Little Brown:

Yen Press, the graphic novel imprint of Hachette Book Group, announced that it will publish the eagerly-awaited second volume in the graphic novel adaptation of  Stephenie Meyer’sTwilight on October 11, 2011.  Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 2 will be released as an e-book and in hardcover for $19.99 ($22.99 CAN) with a first printing of 350,000 copies.

Now that Robert Pattinson has wrapped his time on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Pattinson has moved on to Toronto for the David Cronenberg film Cosmopolis, which begins filming next week in the Canadian city.
Ahead of the May 24 shooting of Cosmopolis, Robert Pattinson is now in Toronto to begin shooting for David Cronenberg. Since Pattinson is in Toronto for Cosmopolis early, Robert Pattinson has already been spotted with Kristen Stewart, who is said to be in the city until she begins production on Snow White and the Huntsman in Montreal.
Different sightings place Pattinson in Toronto as witnesses have seen Robert walking his dog and at a recent Adele concert. The schedule for Cosmopolis will keep Robert Pattinson in Toronto for two months before the production moves to New York.

You know Ashley Greene for her red carpet looks, her turns as Alice Cullen in theTwilight movie series, and—admit it, tabloid junkies—as Joe Jonas’s ex. This month, she gets her Farah Fawcett on in the indie drama Skateland set in the early 1980s, playing Michelle, a college-bound teenage mall employee with a crush on her longtime friend Ritchie, a slacker genius who works at a dying roller skating rink. We asked the actress about all things ’80s, high school beauty, and for her favorite products and tips.

Your character, Michelle, is a real music buff. Do you have a favorite ’80s song? “I don’t! I wasn’t very well-versed in ’80s music [until the movie], so it was a good thing that they gave us all a full iPod and introduced us to The Cure and Joy Division.”

Who do you think had the best retro look? “Farah Fawcett. Best ’80s hair. Definitely.”

You kind of have that feathered hair in the movie. “That’s who we were inspired by.”

You also rocked blue eye shadow. Would you do that in real life? “Probably not. But it was really fun to do stuff like that on film. You know what? Maybe I’d wear a different shade, a very sheer blue, one that’s not as intense.”

I think he’ll always be Edward [Cullen] for a whole generation or maybe a few generations of people and it will be difficult to get away from that. But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.”

Thanks to one of our readers, Ariella, we found out that Taylor was indeed in NYC today filming under the title “Movie Awards”. We can only assume the shoot was a sketch for the upcoming MTV Movie awards which will air on June 5th.
Ariella spotted Taylor filming in a cab outside of City Stage around W 19th and 9th in NYC. They definitely did a good job keeping the shoot under wraps since, according to Ariella, there were no fans around.

When NextMovie sat down to discuss her upcoming film, “Skateland,” she confessed that she and the rest of gang — yep, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner too — were ambitious when it came to doing their own daring battle tricks for “Breaking Dawn.”
“They’re working with special effects but actually our cast as a whole is pretty athletic,” she tells NextMovie exclusively. “Everyone really wants to be able to do their own stunts. We all worked really hard to do as much as production would possibly allow us do insurance-wise.
“A lot of what you see will actually be us doing it.”
She couldn’t go into further detail about what all that entailed, but we’re guessing it means she’ll be doing quite a bit of running, jumping and pouncing on members of the Volturi army. In other words, Bring. It. On.
